Tight and non descript at first this opened up with the lasagna beautifully. Best pair of the night with great spice content, medium bodied, fine tannins and livley but not overly burdened fruit.

Italy Served at the July 23rd North Texas Winos Tasting Dinner at Amici’s Signature Italian in Carrollton, Texas. Opened and served without decanting. Earthy nose similar to a Garnache. Hint of mint. Earthy dominated palate of cherry. Drink now. 82 points.

Much worse on day 2. Clearly over the hill. Acidic with nothing else going on.

Should have decanted. Not much nose. Pepper. Slightly acidic.

I must have waited too late to drink. It was vinegar. Could not even smell..

S really didn’t like it this time. It’s a little thin, and the up front sweet tinge goes away after a while, leaving a very light drinker.
