This wine is not finished yet. The nose is restrained, but lovely colour, good fruit, blackberry, blueberry. Still has some bite, but great length and balance.

Nose of briar fruits. Silky texture on palate. Initially lots of red fruit, concentrated. Long finish but alcohol on finish and fruit is lost mid palate. Tannic. Contradiction between impact of fruit and a sort of wateriness on palate as it lingers.

In 2010 i thought that it had deposited too many of its tannins and was too soft. Wrong. Still strong and vigorous: a real surprise at this age. Good ruby red colour, fruit on the nose and palate with good spicy and tannin flavours, giving medium length. A real winner.

Deep red, tinge of purple still. Rather clear at rim. Deep blackberry fruit nose of briars and mushrooms. Smooth texture. Fresh black fruits on palate initially but declining at the finish. May not have enough fruit to age much longer. Drink soon. Tannins plentiful but fine.

Moderately deep in colour, cherry red. Savoury nose, undergrowth, mushrooms, (Brett?). Medium weight in palate. Lots of ripe red and black fruits. Soft tannins and gentle acidity provide freshness. Touch of bitterness. Long finish.

Dark ruby, touch of browning to edge. Loads of black fruits but also forest floors and meaty herbs. Good balance and decent length. This bottle was slightly flatter than previous ones. Just a stage perhaps?

Full of fruit, with tannins still to be resolved, oak still to calm down a little. There is plenty of freshness; so all is in balance and should age well. Try again late 2010. Having said that it went down well just as it is. Best allowed to aerate a few hours.

Dark ruby, touch of browning to edge. Loads of black fruits but also forest floors and meaty herbs. Very nice balance and decent length. Holding up well and still plenty of life ahead. Great QPR.

Very well balanced Rasteau. Still lots of potential aging. Dark fruits and good balance. A good midweek wine for sure. I decanted it for a hour prior to serving. I still think this wine would benefit from this for a while yet.

I’m amazed how this wine has lasted. Slightly restrained nose, but good fruit and balanced tannins. Blackberry, cigar box, spice. Two to go!

Very fresh; clean on palate. Underlying fruit in evidence but beginning to fade. Elegant; long rather than weighty.

Great balance. In a good shape for a villages of 7 years! Fresh, himt of toast, good persistance. Not too complex but a lot of pleasure.

Cherry red. Smooth, red-fruit nose. Full bodied, ripe fruit. Depth of interest here. Long finish. Drinking well now but worth keeping longer.

excellent, luscious fruit. Very appealing wine. Not setting out to be complex but it has power and character.

Deep dark ruby. Dark berries and black cherries. Tannins fairly resolved. Medium length. Touches of herbs and meat too. Very good QPR.
