Cool and elegant fruit. Black currant, spices and leather. Black olives and well integrated oak. Bit on the light side but it suites this wine. Really good!

Uncharacteristically dense and dark fruity for being Sadie. That being said, this is a beautiful wine. Concentrated and rich while simultaneously balanced and with finesse. A new favorite from Sadie from a grape that we had previously only tried in Port. Still young, next bottle in 3 years.

Tasted blind. 100% Tinto Barroca, which I have ZERO experience tasting in a mono-varietal bottling. Fresh fruit, neutral oak flavors, and tight tannins give way to something more earthy, mushroom, and darker red fruit flavors. Lots of drying, rustic tannins and crisp acidity. This is very good and much different than expected. More like Burgundy than Port (which is the home of Tinto Barroca).

First of this one in a while, lots of dark berries and rocky notes with subtle perfume and floral aromas on the nose, medium bodied with medium acidity, generous fruit and nose finish feels like this will get allot better with some more bottle age

Top notch. Clear acid. Minerals. Elegant. Second vintage of Sadie for me and Treinspoor been my favorite both vintages. Two more bottles and I'm looking forward to see where this is going. 91-92.

Grape: Tinta Barocca a Port variety ... ... well this tasted nothing like Port - it is mid to light weight, bright raspberry fruit. No intensity or depth - really not very interesting. An easy drinking quaffer - probably best served chilled in the Summer. 13% ABV

Rosemary, blood and cherreis. Christmas spices and orange. Oak, hey and tobacco. Kinda surprised I liked this one (a bit) better than Soldaat from the same vintage. Hold for 2-4 years until the next bottle.

Rich and with slightly warmer aromas, yet charming with wet tobacco, plum, licorice and a load of both exotic and cooler spices. The wine was pronounced fruity and delicate with very good mouthfeel with plums, spices and herbs. Nice acidity and good bite in the tannins. Certainly a distinctive and good wine.

This is lovely with dark fruits, earth, a wine that is made to drink with stews, in front of a fire, but nonetheless has elegance. Good stuff!

So bloody good now. My last bottle out of three and better than ever. Upping grade to 92.
Edit: Day 2 and both my son and I agreed that this is beautiful. Rich without being overwhelming. Complex, generous. Upping grade to 93.
