  • 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah & 10% Mourvedre. 2y in oak with 50% being new. Decanted 30m.

Pine, raspberry, earthy, garrigue, bramble, dried spice, minerality. A super easy drinker but wish it had a little more structure & less flab. Personally I'd drink up in the next few years.

  • A well made and very enjoyable wine. Good balance, good length, good acidity and typical fruit profile for this wine. Glad that the 15% alcohol is not dominant on the palate. Exceeded my expectations.

  • Had at Ruth Chris’s with a great chateaubrianne. Wonderful dinner and wine.

  • Caveat: This is a delayed post by several days.

A rich and nuanced wine, all at once. Despite the blend percentage, this drinks like a rich Syrah more so than the Grenache of which it is primarily composed. A surprising, spicy garrigue note complements the dark, lush, plummy profile. Cassis and mulberry arise from time to time. Low acidity, but an excessively high EtOH level distracts. Tannins are lush and velvety, but there is still some cellar time left to play with. I recommend opening early and, if practicable, decanting before drinking. This will stand up to and complement highly spiced Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes from North Africa, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, etc.

  • Primarily red fruits palate, with a slight floral bouquet on the nose. There were hints of leather and earth, and some much needed pepper on the medium-length finish too. Was surprised it wasn't fuller bodied, but it was simple enough a wine to pair with the pasta and meats served.

This Gigondas is from Southern Rhone, and is made of 70% Grenache, 20 % Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. We tried this at the E Guigal 4-course dinner hosted by Charlotte Terouanne of Europvin and the team at Milawa, in Horizon Grill (Banyan Tree hotel).

  • Drank at a Rhone tasting. Higher acid and lower tannins. I don't see much aging potential. Would drink again but wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

  • This deep-to-opaque ruby wine is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. Tasted from a bottle that was Vinturi-decanted and consumed over three hours, it is a medium-to-full-bodied red that oozes dark bramble fruits, dried apricots, black pepper, earth and Provençal herbs. Freshly acidic, lightly oaked and with plentiful sweet tannins, it has good mid-palate density and keeps its lofty 15% alcohol in check (when served at 60-65°F). Lengthy and laden with grilled meat flavor on the finish, this is an impressive Southern Rhone that should show well throughout the remainder of this decade. Give it at least an hour in decanter for optimal enjoyment. Drink now-2030.

  • Soft easy drinker, very little structure, almost flabby. Surprising disappointment from this producer. Drinkable, but.
