  • First bottle was corked, but that was fixed with a return trip to the wine shop. This is obviously too young. It’s tight even on day 2. Grippy tannins and a lot of acidity mean this is a wine that needs food. Mushroom/truffle risotto was an amazing pairing.

I get licorice, mushrooms, black cherries, and leather. It has a wonderful mouthfeel that seems to defy your expectations—a light, Pinot-like body when it’s in your mouth but it takes all of the moisture with it when it leaves. Would love to try it in a few years.

  • Medium body, bright cherry color. Impressive but delicate aroma of red fruits, flowers and anise. Typical nebbiolo palate of strawberry, cherry spices combined with tar on long finish. Elegant complex young nebbilo, velvety and easy drinking with balanced acidity and silky tannins. Food friendly, best match is risotto ai funghi. Serve 17º - 20º. Open one hour ahead. Drink now while young and next eight years.

  • Nice, ripe and bright cherry and raspberry fruits. There's a hint of tar and earth and a little balsamic tang. It is accessible and delicious at this early juncture.

  • Blackberry, red cherry with hints of new rubber and pine forest. Elegant with firm tannin and a juicy entry. Lot of sour cherry in the mid. It finishes with a bright acidity underlining notes of bitter chocolate. Pretty solid.
