  • The Estate Reserve has always been a solid wine, on the classic Cali side with structure and depth. For the down '17 vintage, where some of the wines either come out thin or on the over extracted side, this walks a fine line between the two and comes out as a solid, drinkable wine. The nose has notes of cedar, plum and violets. Typical '17 medium body, soft tannins in check, dark plum fruits with a touch of extraction, a note of green pepper at the initial taste which faded as the wine opened. Good finish.

  • Tasted with 3 hour decant. Really nice wine but can sit for many years. Not sure three hours was enough
