Magenta in color with brick edge. Nose smells "hot" with stewed fruit & black licorice. On the palate, the wine is in balance, expressing dark fruit, leather, woody tannins & a pyrazine note. Tannins are still making their presence known, but enjoyably so...perceived on the gums and palate. The finish of blackberry jam is medium-to-long.

Listed as a Pinotage in the description and perhaps was in prior vintages? However this wine is a Bordeaux blend at 41% CS, 31% CF and 28% Merlot. Retail price in US is $30. It takes awhile to open up but is showing warm dark fruit, concentrated blackberry and currant as well as smooth tannin and oak integration. Excellent wine.
