Certainly tasty but without the energy of most 2017s- this has lots of orchard fruit for fun enjoyment now, but not the brightness for as much fun going forward. Best now through 2025 or shortly later.

Wonderful wine! I made a tasting note 2 years ago. The acids have mellowed. It is very delicate and smooth. Really great. A side note…the bottle was decanted an hour before we drank it. The first sip was great from the bottle…it was even better after an hour.

This wine is in a beautiful place right now; initial blast of clean saline sea air greets at first with lemon and tart apple nose with just hints of oak; really nice palate raises thoughts of a phrase almost unique to reds - “iron fist in a velvet glove”. Mouthfeel and initial impression are round, velvety and full of appealing fruit, beeswax and glycerin. But mid palate lands sensation of gravelly and fruit dry extract, a pop of acidity and a huge, long finish of really appealing balance so well blended that it’s usually found in the best GCs. This is excellent and should be at peak in 7-10 years. 93+

First white Burg I've had where I think I get "it"--why people spend $$ chasing this stuff. Really beautiful wine--delicate aromatics that sing out of the glass with lightly baked yellow apples, flowers, and a hint of baking spices that complements, but never overpowers the fruits. Luxurious mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish.
Only improved on Day 2. It's really good now, but will hold my next bottle 3-5 years.

The acids need some time to mellow. Too young. Let this wine cellar for a few years. The next day the wine was more enjoyable. A lot of potential. Very nice wine.
