The nose had apple and spice, some pear, and a touch of buttered popcorn at the end. The palate was crisp and very buttery, and had green apple, and a spicy finish. Not a style I like very much, but not too bad, none the less.

Smooth start with a tart finish, but not bad. Definitely hits the vanilla and Granny smith apple notes touted by the winery. My husband's comment, "just the kind of california chardonnay I like." We will pick up more next time we are up at the winery.

This bottle peaked. Heavy oak smell and taste. Still had good acidity, but not much flavor.

WOW. what a beaut. aged in all french oak, 30% new, 70% old. big, full-body. 14.3% alcohol. just needs a tad more acidity. quite a bargain.

this is a regal, full-bodied american wine. everything from high acidity to complexity to a long mineral finish. impressive.
