We drank this 2 weeks ago and took no notes; however we did like it very much. I remember it being rich and well balanced. It is a great choice for the money.

A dark inky red blend, with nice legs. The nose is cherry and blackberry, and vanilla. The taste on the pallete is fully extracted fruit, acid and tannin filled finish that releases well with very small amounts of fat. 92 very tasty.

Deep ruby red color. Ripe dark berry, spice, cinnamon and green pepper scent. Rich, mouth-filling, velvety, currant, coffee, mocha and caramel taste with fine tannins.

Very new wold for an Italian wine. Smell of tons of blackberries and some truffles and oak. There also a very interesting and abundant smell of denim, which I've never smelled on a wine. Taste is initially vegetal, but gets fruitier and oakier. Raisins and cranberry maybe. It's not bad, but something about it just didn't really do it for me. Maybe I wasn't in a good mood or something.

Dark ruby color. Smells of raspberry and dark chocolate on the nose. It was silky smooth and creamy with right amount of tannin and chocolaty bitterness. Long finish and very very good.

Drank it last night with Karl and Heidi to accompany pork chops and mashed potato fritters. As before, an especially rich and bracing Tuscan blend. I would guess mostly Cab Sauv. Great intensity and concentration, a fantastic daily drinker.

Drank it with brined roast chicken together with Malene, Gaius and Sabrina. Superb, highly concentrated dark fruit flavors with exceptionally firm structure. A 2x wine (twice the goodness per unit volume).

We had this with dinner tonight. From the Antinori family (of Ornellaia fame). Vibrant purple color. Black fruit, red licorice, bitter chocolate and oak on the nose. Black raspberry and plum on the palate, "dusty" mouthfeel, with some definite mouth drying tannins and oak, and a bitter chocolate finish. The nose had some floral characteristic as well. Very good.

Green bell pepper and some gaminess in the nose. Perfect with roasted meats and dishes featuring hearty tomato based sauces.

Very nice nose of blueberry and blackberry. Dark fruit on the palate with a hint of bell pepper. Creamy mouthfeel. It all comes together nicely.
