This PS continues to involve nicely. Still a deep, but brilliantly inky claret red with no bricking, a well developed bouquet of blue and red fruits. With still plenty of fruit with a maturing tannic backbone, this PS can go at least another five years if not more.

Very good, a really pleasant surprise, quite a mature Central Valley CA petit sirah enjoyed earlier tonight with Kim at Cafe 1859 in Hickory NC. Never had this wine before, in fact had never heard of the producer before but nothing else really interested us on the limited wine list. Inky black, big and bold, full bodied, almost a raw element to this wine yet nicely balanced with a long aftertaste. Nose big and bold and full of dark stone fruit, tar and menthol with primary flavors of dark fruit, cassis, cigar box, allspice and blakc pepper. A very good QPR at this price point even for a restaurant and I really recommend this for lovers of big CA petit sirahs.

Really nice wine, came in 2nd in a tasting of 8 petite sirahs. Lots of nice blueberry, some tannin, chocolate and tobacco. A very nice PS...will buy again.

Nestled amidst all the cabs and chards, this appealed as being something different. For one thing, it didn't require extensive chewing and swirling; dominated by red cherries the fruit is there at the beginning, good acidity making for a bracing palate cleansing experience.

Intense nose of raspberries. Prominent, tart and pleasing fruit (raspberry, cassis, small plums) leads into a solid but unchallenging back end. I like this style very much— like an elegant, well-healed city cousin of zinfandel.

For our anniversary dinner we brought along this wine. Like our marriage it was well aged. For a Petite Sirah it was soft and finished well.

Spicy raspberry nose and palette. A very nicely balanced, full bodied PS. On sale, one of the better QPR wines I've purchase this year.
