After a premox "Clos" this was more than a pleasant surprise. Nose with green apple and citrus flavors. Palate is rich, fresh and so clean. The fruit is outstanding ending in a long finish with Chablis acidity and minerality.

On the nose: Citrus, Bruised apple, minerals and quite a bit of ripe hints
On the palate: Bruised apples, citrus, minerals, stone fruits. Again felt ripe for me and it had a fattiness with a burning sensation. A problem I have seen often with most 2018 whites.
Tasted over a period of 2 hours, in the beginning it was very closed off. It improved greatly over time. Although enjoyable this burning fattiness really holds it back for me, and I don't think that it will dissipate over time. It is more on the background than with a lot of other 2018 whites, but still too noticeable for me. Because of the ripeness it's missing the freshness and acidity I expect form Chablis.

Palate: Prominent citrus notes of lemon and lime. A little flat coming through the middle mouth. A little creamy as it warms. Decent amount of minerality. Medium acidity.
Body: Medium to medium plus. Surprisingly big in mouth feel.
Finish: Not overly long. Fairly smooth and rounded, with a touch of sour cream on the finish.
All in all, a very confusing wine. Bright, fresh and interesting on the nose, but fails to deliver coming through the palate. Good structure and balance, but the notes in the middle mouth are muted. I feel like this wine needs to pick a lane, yet it's hugging the middle.
Not a bad wine, but in my opinion, not worth the price jump from William Fevre's entry level Chablis .

Pretty nose. Palate lacks some of the chalky, chiseled expression of chablis. Hot vintage. Rounder and not as much acid as I’d like - (again) the vintage. Tasty but would seek out ‘17 and ‘20 for fresher wines.

Quite pale yellow/gold. A floral nose, white orchard, with a hint of citrus. Some classic Chablis minerality but this did feel rounder than it’s companions (an 18 Pinson Forest & 18 Louis Michel Montmain). Young to be sure, and nice — but not the standout of the group.

From 375 Floral aromas with pithy lemon rind and green apple flavors and bracing acidity. Quite nice, but desperately needing a few years to settle down. Much tighter than the Vaillons at this point

Aroma: peach and almond blossoms, some oyster shell. Palate: rich, spicy and nutty with pit fruits, citrus and apple. Good mineral core and bracing acidity. Could use some age to round out the rough edges.

Very light minerals, soft, round, OK, some chablis extract in the finish but honestly should be better, I blame the vintage. Monopole

My first encounter with this producer, and it swept me off my feet.
Perhaps a bit too young, but it grew throughout the evening.
Extremely well made Chablis !!!

Bouchard 2018 Tasting (Waterford Wine Co. - Milwaukee WI): Stand up tasting. Classic Chablis with yellow and green apple, some lemon. Bright textures. Good weight, better length. Good from 2022 forward.
