  • Inky, broad, and full bodied. Black olive tamponade and smoked meat. Saline. Drinking well with plenty of future ahead. Love it.

  • This is what Côte Rôtie should be like - med to full bodied, lift, black cherry, cured meat, floral, intense and complex. I love Syrah with Viognier and this is a terrific example. Already drinking well, I believe Jasmin’s cote Rotie is known for its early approachability, but will obviously improve with age. Decanted for 2hrs.

  • Decanted for 30 minutes and paired with rare grilled tuna steaks. Dark black color and throwing some sediment. On nose, meat, iodine, saline, blackberry, black olives. Very fragrant. Palate profile similar to nose ex. meat. Full body, medium tannins, medium+ acidity and very long finish. As MickethePickle noted, this is ready to roll.

I loved this. More full bodied than I would have expected for a Cote-Rotie- didn't get new oak notes and very complex flavor profile. Will buy some more. 94+/-

  • Quite attractive, with amazing drinkability on pop and pour. If you want some of the characteristics of a true Cote Rotie without the wait, this is your ticket. Doesn't have the deep bacon-fat aromas and smokiness of a well-aged CR, but it is certainly meaty and deeply Syrah. Nice floral notes on the nose. Pretty good value too at well under $80. I'm sure this will age just fine, but not NECESSARY as so many other CRs require. 4-12-17-8: 91/100.

  • Best Cote-Rotie I have had in a very long time (96% Syrah, 4% Viognier).
Red purple, great aroma, full-bodied, taste of mixed berries.
My Goleta friend gave it 97 points (CT high Outstanding), and I agreed with this score.

  • Dark violet red. Dark berries, pepper, stone, bacon. Balanced with gentle tannins. A little on the young side, but certainly drinakable. Great.

  • Wednesday evening, pairing with an ottolenghi pasta plate with baked orzo and goat cheese. One hour decant cause this wine is young. Deep purple Color. Lots of fruit on the nose - strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, a bit of smoke and pepper, as well as floral notes, wet stones and mushrooms. Med+ acidity, Med+ body, High alcohol (it says 13.5 on the bottle, I suspect higher), Med flavor intensity, med tannins, Med finish. Very nice fruit, typical northern Rhône Syrah taste, still a bit of green but you feel it will integrate nicely in a couple of years. A bit of smoke, not yet much tertiary notes but this will come as well. Next bottle will be opened in a year so, but this has great potential. Buy!
