This blend has high tannin that will settle down after about 45 minutes. Good structure but not great balance. threw off some sediment. Mild dark fruits with Oak, vanilla and cassis. Interestingly, my reaction to this bottle was completely different than my prior tasting note as to acidity.

Opens up strong, but over an hour, it thins out to a better than medium body, deep rich wine. I like the blend for sure. I get a palate of deep dark black fruit, pencil shavings, cassis, plum, and an average amount of acid. This is a very good every day drinking wine and not much more than that. On the 2nd night, the nose is subtle, and the mouthfeel is rich and lush with dark black fruit, ripe green pepper, and Hershey bar. My overall opinion of the wine has gotten better, and being that this is a young wine, I strongly recommend that you decant for at least 2 hours before drinking it that evening.

4.2⭐️ 91-94 pts. This has settled down and smoothed out from the first bottle I tried 5 months back. It was tight as a drum then so I put them in the wine rack in the closet and left them alone until today. Big difference. 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec. Black currant, pencil lead, juicy dark cherry. Ripe medium+ tannins. Nice long finish. Impressive Bordeaux blend from Beringer. Drink now with a decant or hold. This will have 10-15 years of life easily.

Greg liked it OK. Nicole not so much. Tougher going down. Good deal, but won’t but again. Was told it needed to breath for a while to open up.
