I seldom drink Cabernet anymore and when I do it’s seldom this young. I thought this would go well with the pork stew concoction I made though. This was young and fresh, black olives, tar and black fruits on the palate. Nose showed bright cassis. I’ve always liked middle aged cab as it is not as delicate as old cab and not as big and bold as young. This clearly more on the young side of that spectrum but good.

From a half bottle. A strong, decently complex nose of blackcurrant, black licorice, sweet tobacco and spices pleases the senses, as do the initial impressions of the round, fruit forward body. However, diminishing returns as the body more evaporates than finishes.
If paired appropriately, such as with a grilled rare to medium-rare half-pound burger, this wine is very, very nice!!

This seemed like a good wine for the money - I served it outdoors in 50 degree weather. The wine was room temperature so it was cold and hard to taste. Full Body, good color, mouth feel was good, fruit tasted like plum and berries.

There is purity of ultra ripe red and blue fruits in the core, surrounded by white pepper and toasted sweet spices. Palate is rich and spicy with all the sweet fruits, tobacco leave and spices from the nose. The fresh acidity came in towards the end of the full-bodied palate to provide some lift. Finish is hot and hollow with a touch of bitter tannins. Too spicy for my taste. An hour of decanting and drink it slightly cooler will bring about better balance.

Like others have said, a little fruit forward and jammy for cab. Nice Sonoma cab nose but ending a little flat but well worth it for $18. Held up ok day#2. Had to buy more based basically on $18 price at TW. Not sure if this would age well or not. I don't see this lasting past 2023, 2024 at best? Anyone like previous vintages of this wine after 6 or 8 years age? Love to know, thx.
Love this wine for the price and as a change of pace to a Napa cab. It has a minerality that I have always loved from Alexander valley. Still some fruit, some complexity.

cheers - good wine, very fruit forward, hopefully mellows with age. Not a great value for me, but truth be told, I'm not a fan of these huge CA cabs.....I'd prefer a $14 Rioja...

Soft fruit, but ok. No tannins or acidity to give it structure and finish.

Deep color, smooth front and finish. Nothing really dominates- which is not to say it's not drinkable. Perhaps a better balance than described.
