Community Tasting Notes

Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Cloudy brick-orange color with an almost colorless rim. Pungent, oxidized nose with aromas of syrupy molasses, Weetabix, some caramel tones, a little bit of raisiny fruit, light meaty notes of beef jerky and a hint of Oloroso Sherry. The wine is dry, medium-bodied and quite oxidized on the palate with flavors of sour cherries, some beef jerky and a little bit of salty-umami soy sauce. High acidity and somewhat grippy medium tannins. The finish is dry, somewhat grippy and quite acid-driven with medium-long flavors of soy sauce, meaty umami and a little bit of raisiny fruit.

Past its peak and quite oxidized. Nothing to see here, move along.
