nose of gooseberry, lemon, sesame, some grass with earthy funky notes. on the palate, medium body, medium high acidity, vibrant fruit with lemon, pineapple, tropical notes, some saline minerality, some green plants, hints of oak and caramel sesame near the finish. very elegant, balanced and precise.

Overall, a disappointment Decanted and put back in bottle, and drink an hour later over the following three hours Muted aromas with some herbal and pepper notes The palate was more fruity with tart gooseberries This wine clearly needs another 3-5 years to settle down but be careful if consuming it young

Dry; intense concentration on the nose, subtle smokiness. More moderate in intensity than New Zealand. Insane acidity; tight flavors of gooseberry, citrus leaf, lemon zest, and lime peel. Lip smacking, amazingly lengthy finish.

One of the most intense and concentrated Sauvignon Blancs I have had. And at the $87 retail price, definitely amongst the most expensive. Full of intense gooseberry, melon, grapefruit, fresh-picked herb, mineral, and laser-like lime pith. Long, rich finish. Great wine, just well outside my budget.

As far as Sauvignon Blanc goes, this is pretty good; herbal notes on the nose (so you know where you are), but not too green. On the palate, there's some nice fruit and then an interesting slightly plummy note on the finish. Ultimately, I just don't really like sauvignon blanc that much, so this is mostly wasted on me.

Pear, lime, kaffir leaf, pineapple. Initially mineral, which settles as it warms up and opens out. Good depth and texture. Drinks well over 3 days.

Lime, melon, pineapple. Fine. Good intensity here. Smoky. Balanced acid. Lovely with food.
Drink or hold.

More floral and less dense than Silex. Pleasant, becomes more interesting with air.

French White and Rosęs (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Tasted blind. Correctly identified as Sauvignon Blanc (Pouilly-Fume).

A nice sauvignon blanc, but I struggle to rationalise the price.
