  • Cherry, blackberry, and cedar nose, huge cherry soda on the palate with a little cedar. Fruit bomb, not to my liking

  • Incredible smilar to my previous TN of 6 months ago, although the fruit intensity might be off a touch. Amazing value in Australia; the product of a friendly ex/r in early 2008.

  • This wine should be scaring the hell out of Australia's factory wine producers given it trades for no more than $13. Quite powerfully fruited nose of sweet berries and more than a hint of raspberry and stink of pruny mourvedre fruits. Very lively. Thankfully the palate is much more settled; dark prunes, a little pong, a lick of acid and tannin. Medium weight. A touch searing on the finish but no big deal. I love the fact it's a dry dark fruited wine.

  • Nose of dark fruits and deep earthy pepper. Brambly and rough, with smoke, black pepper and earth. In the mouth the tannins are not forceful and the acidity is medium. Dark black berry, and earth come to mind first, followed by richer meatier richness. Weedy and earthy this wine while based on dark fruit is a jungle of minerals and vegetation. Cassis, black cherry, blackberry and more all seem to find their way out of the smoke as time goes on. 3/5
