Even though this is a wine that never woke up, there is something very Bordeaux about this wine and deep within its medium garnet depth of color, there is some nuances of snobby Bordeaux buried within an eventless totallity after 18 years. Wow, 18 years since 2004! The wine is fully mature with red plums, red flower potpourri and that beautiful decay of autumn leaves and coffee grounds buried deep within the mid palate. If you have had the pleasure of serious old wines, then there's some flashes of that sparking within this like a hum and a farewell to an old friend even if its a wine. DRINK

Definitely cedar dominated (Signature of Lagrange Pomerol), but its mixed within a feisty young red fruited cuve with a long punctuated finish. Dry, dry wine....Theres a sense of creaminess that is coming from the oak , witch adds texture to this vibrant wine of 15 years...drink or hold

Decanted for 45 minutes before drinking. Rich and deceptively long for a wine of this level. Plum, tobacco, fresh cigar, blue fruits and mixed spices. Drinking lovely now, and held well over 3 hours in the decanter

Drinking nicely, still tannic grip but softening out after 30 minutes. Cassis, herbs, cocoa powder on the nose. Palate is warm and rich, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and a little spice. Tasty wine at a tasty price, nice mid week bottle with a couple of years on the clock.

Similar notes as the previous bottle, but after being open for a night still very good and more cedar coming out.

Nose of baking spice and plum. Cedar, baking spices and dark fruit on the palate. Nice long finish.
