  • I could immediately tell that this was an older wine. It had a golden color and an aged bouquet. I really didn't get a lot of fruit on the nose but it did have a floral and spice thing going on. It was tough to pick out the fruit on the palate but I could taste some oak and vanilla. Hard to describe because I don't drink white wines this old that often but I really did like this. Come to think of it, this might be the oldest Chardonnay I have ever had. I had a 94 Jadot but that was a few years ago so this bottle had more age on it when we drank it.
