  • I certainly won’t say it’s the most complex Cabernet Sauvignon I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely the most unique I’ve had the opportunity to try, at least outside of Bordeaux or the usual Napa cabs. This is quite an exquisite cab from Chile and leads me to further believe that I have been missing out on some great new world wines with an old world feel.
Actually quite smoky and herbatious on the nose with secondary notes of anise and leather. Flavor profile is much of the same with added black cherry and some tabacco, with a firm tannin structure while not being overly robust. Great mouthfeel that keeps you searching for more and the ever present vanilla and other usual flavors from oak barrels, pretty good finish as well.
While the price is a little high I would recommend this wine to anyone who is seeking a cab from an up an coming powerhouse region that will only grow in popularity over the next decade.
