  • Wowee!! This is fabulous.

Day 1 I didn't do it any favors, opening it directly out of the cellar. All I can say is don't drink it chilled.

Day 2 and this is the type of wine I like to contemplate as I drink. It is really lovely. The nose is vibrant, rich fruit, and very aromatic. To taste it is blackberries, lovely acidity, a touch of spice, and soft tannins. It is an excellent summer red wine, but I think it would also do well in winter.

I think James Suckling's description of "full body with chewy tannins that form a pretty, fruity palate" is pretty accurate. I am sure I will purchase another bottle of this lovely wine.
