Pronounced aroma of cherry compote, baked plums, spices, leather, toasted oak. Full body, sweetish entry of slightly spicy and ripe red and black fruits, medium+ acidity and low silky tannins, lengthy bit warming finish.

Dark ruby colored. Violets, ripe dark cherries, blackberries, cassis and some sweet spicy oak notes in the nose and on the palate. Full bodied with a medium acidity. Velvety tannins which are nicely integrated. Very concentrated structure, but not too tight or overdone. Very good complexity and a nice overall balance. Alcohol is very high (16%) and sometimes it feels a little too hot. The finish is long, very dark berried and savory. Beautiful example of a great Barbera. It feels like it still has a good decade ahead but with some air it’s very enjoyable right now. Drink from now until 2032. (IG)

Quite beautiful nose for a barbera revealing more black fruits that once would expect. Viola, blackberries and cassis skin is present on the palate. Balance is quite impressive wrt the high alcohol
