  • No tasting notes on this wine? I get it. Extremely rare bottle due the poor vintage. I got very lucky - a friend brought this gem. I admit my expectations were low but I kept positive. The wine actually performed a bit like I expected. It was a bit shy at first - 63 years in bottle. Dominating notes of prune and a bit of metal. Then it just started to blossom and woke up. Figs, prunes, cocout, orange peel, asian spice and cinnamon. It was actually quite fresh with fine acidity. Really impressive nose. Great taste but the aftertaste does not hang around very long for a Yquem. Still a beautiful frail ghost here!!! Cheers!
