Light, pruny color. Leather and red cherry on the nose. Medicinal taste immediately upon opening. That subsided a bit after a while, and the red cherry came out. Medium finish with some tannins. Drank first with blue cheese bruschetta. Became silky with grilled lemon garlic porkchops.

Opened tight. Decanted and then leather, bell pepper and a slight hint of red cherry on the nose. Ate with steak and pork ribs. Thought there was a bit of plum on the mouth, but a decent structure. Light mouth feel, but feels hot. Overall, a good food wine. I wonder if this will deepen with a little cellaring.
