Tasty, but doesn't bring anything new. Had purchased this a while back on a Cinderella Wine offer. The blend featuring a varietal new to me, Hondarrabi Zuri, combined with Riesling was certainly an attraction. Nose showed mild citrus and floral notes, which followed through to the front end. I had forgotten what the blend was, but picked up distinct riesling flavor profile. In hindsight this was surprising given that it only makes up 20%. Unfortunately the other grape brought nothing new. That said I would certainly serve this to guests, it's just not unique.

ecola's note hits this pretty well- tropical fruit, flowers, honey on the nose. Honeyed lemon/lime palate, good acid, medium-bodied and a surprisingly long finish. Good structure, just lacks depth on the palate.

Once again, a little oxidized -- the first one very badly, the second one not at all, the third one enough to be noticeable. The strong acid is still there, along with tropical fruits and even coconut. But The oxidation gives it a darker color in the glass, and the palate is lacking. This bottle was drinkable, but I don't think I'll rate it.

Very pretty aromatics, tropical fruit, white flowers, and honey. A medium body wine with great acidity. Citrus fruit on the palate. Finishes rich with a little touch of honey.

The previous bottle was flawed, so I was relieved to find this one in good shape. Very zingy acidity -- loads of citrus -- which might be overpowering in some contexts. It works well, though, with food. Hints of minerals and pineapple, with a decent finish.

Decant Time - 0 The color is deep yellow. The nose is complex and interesting with floral, dried tropical fruit, butterscotch, and freshener aromas. On the palate the wine is initially light, exhibiting some dried apple components. It transitions to a midpalate of tart citrus and crushed rock. The finish is long and characterized by interesting combinations of petroleum/oil, citrus peel, and tart acidity. The wine is smooth with good transitions and enjoyable, but it lacks the vibrancy of flavors to make it outstanding.

Let me start off by saying this is a VERY tart wine. The nose doesn't hide the lemony acidic flavors that are headed your way. Dominant citrus is complemented by big apple flavors and a nice touch of cranberry? Looooong finish too. I'm undecided on how much I like it...it's good but not great. We'll see how the next 3 bottles go.

This wine is reserved from the best years and the best grapes, aged for twelve months on the lees in deposit number 7. It does not see wood. Light lemon color with a tinge of green. Complex nose of ripe apple, lemon zest, pineapple and guava with a touch of coconut. On the palate it is silky and mouthcoating, medium to full bodied. Racy acidity is well balanced by the fruit extract. Very pretty Txakoli.

I didn't find this as acidic as previous notes would suggest. Not bad, but there just didn't seem to be much to it at all.
