Absolutely delicious - riper, but not over the top. Seamless tannins, ripe, dark color, notes of ripe strawberry, blood orange, white pepper. Loved by all who tasted. Truly a hedonistic delight and exactly what one wants from this great Gigondas producer.

60 minute decant. Nose of spiced cherries, mace, and a hint of sandalwood. Unusual palate of sweet raspberry, bright cherry intermixed with intense incense and exotic spices, showing plenty of verve before a hint of raw meat shows itself. Smoky meats on the finish with dark raspberry, black plum, Earl Gray tea, and rose petals.

Full ruby. Forward fruit and herb aromas. Full bodied, fleshy wine but not overly goopy. Rich, ripe blackberry and dark cherry fruit complicated by garrigue. Still reasonably lively due to very good acidity, round tannic structure. Young but very approachable due to the depth and volume of fruit.

A rare gigondas for me. Nose of cherry lozenges, dried cranberries and sage. A little warmth on the palate. Moderate length on the finish. For a warm vintage with a little warmth on the palate this is surprisingly (at least to me) rustic versus ripe. Very herbal on the palate with cinnamon spice, clove and black currant. Very present dusty tannins and higher acidity than most Grenach blends.

Ticks all boxes with me. Elegant, nuanced and herbal. Having one more makes me happy. Will it benefit from cellaring? I don't know and I won't find out. :) 94-95.

Deep ruby. Herb and red fruit. Medium weight, discretely woody base. Sweet ripe fruit but it retains some sense of elegance, particularly when tasted next to a big GSM central California cuvée. Really very good.

Aptly named, as to me this is highly garrigue’d (new verb?). Spices and herbs to the fore, but to be clear not the oaky kind. Balanced and restrained, really no complaints at all from me, except would be nice if 10% cheaper! You get what you pay for…will pick up more of these and stash for 5-15 years.

Interesting too see this in a warm vintage like 2018 - and still so far from the blockbuster style of old. Fresh with plenty of local herbs, good acidity, plenty of Grenache here. The fruit is up front - but in no way warm and vulgar, very restrained and elegant. Santa Ducs new style.

will benefit from further aging

Wow this is tight - total infanticide. It's got all the indicators of a spectacular wine, but if you've got the time, forget about it for a few years.

This was quite alright.
On the fuller side and with a core of dark fruit. None of that sweetnes, which is quite common in wines from southern Rhone.
