Nose: barnyard, funky, blackberries, salty meat, soil, cardomen. The barnyard dissipates after about 2 hours in the decanter. Palate: blackberries, plum, salty meat, peppercorns, cherry, some tobacco. Fine tannins, full body, medium acidity, long finish.

Opened, poured out 4oz, gave it a good shake to blow off sulfides, and let it sit open for 5-6 hours. Reticent nose. Blueberry, raspberry, bacon and a hint of mineral notes. Medium mouthfeel. Juicy fruit with some tomato juice flavors and moderate tannins are just a little dry on the end. It has a noticeable acidity that would pair well with food. Drink or hold short term.

Medium nose shows game, dark fruit, black plum, herbal tones. Palate is both fresh and funky, black fruit layers, blood iron, a meaty feel, but then fruit layers are the primary tone, some dried spice in there. Hefty structure with medium plus tannins and body. Nice take on the varietal with some Old World influence.

Very nice high altitude (2000 ft or so) Syrah from the Pride vineyard that spans both Napa Co. and Sonoma Co. dark purple in the glass, notes of blackberry and slight black pepper aroma.. Blackberry, pepper and allspice on the palate. Soft tannins. Very nice fruit finish. Well made wine, I’d say a mid weight one, not a real big wine, and probably not made for the long haul. Drink over the next 4 years.
With its blackberry, mulberry, Niçoise olive, cured meat, truffle and white pepper notes, popping the cork on this wine is like enjoying a charcuterie plate. The mouthfeel is pure pleasure with fully-integrated supple tannins coating the palate with velvety richness but no chalky grip. Building flavor and texture this Syrah is all about layering. 95% Syrah 3% Viognier 2% Grenache

All primary fruit on the nose and palate at this point, which are dominated by blackberry. Medium grained tannins really complement this fruit forward wine in a good way. Not hot nor over oaked. Can be enjoyed now or later.

Fantastic! Like a candied cranberry pie. Snorting cocoa powder off your great grandmother's oak or walnut dresser. Really enjoyed.

The big surprise at our Pride visit. Drink now or hold. Really approachable, easy drinking for a Syrah. Loved it.
