Vinturied into decant, A fairly straightforward pinot from that AVA, young is my first impression. Subtle and restrained at this point. Still certainly quaff able. Revisit in a few years. Hold, drink 2025/8

Floral with plenty of red cherry and berry start-to-finish, this comes across as both slightly sweet and slightly tart in an intriguing manner, so nicely complex, and a great value wine. Well done.

The beautifully rustic nose is built on scorched earth, sappy cherry, penetrating black plum, cassis, black currant and cigar tobacco. The tannins are finely grained and mouth coating, while the acid is bright but evenly measured. Structurally it is barely medium in weight, but true to pinot form offers unexpected depth and texture. Bing cherry, blueberry, tobacco, black pepper, paprika, and red plum lay the foundation of a very lively palate. As it goes through cycles of opening and closing in the glass, I expect this to evolve a great deal over the next ten years, and I personally would want to give it until at least 2024 before opening.
