No notes taken, but this is most enjoyable. Good citrus fruit notes on the nose. Barely mid-weight on the palate with nice balance and good flavor intensity. This is a simple, well put together sparkling wine with no obvious flaws that is perfectly suitable for holiday gatherings with family and friends.

Didn't get the funky nose others have written about .. just got a really nice dry with a touch of sweetness profile on the palate and clean pear like aromas on the nose. Excellent.

Nice. The nose has tart apple and a bit of unripe melon and grape must. Tastes very nice,a bit on the sweet side of balanced (not in a bad way), with the apple and melon at the forefront.

Quite a bit of funk on the nose, apricot, yeast and apple. Made for a nice bubbly. Nobody wanted to finish the bottle, we had a Il Mionetto Prosecco and Moscato that everyone enjoyed much better. This was heavier in the mouth than those two. This came with a gold sharpie that everyone signed the bottle after New Years so it made for a nice momento.

Everyone seems to expect a sparkling wine to taste like Champagne. Luckily, sparkling wines themselves have far more variety. This one is fruity and extra dry. When tasted along with several other low-priced sparkling wines, it was the one we kept going back to. Bought it in 2006 and cellared it for a year. Will definitely buy again if I can find it.

Similar to a flabby prosecco made with muscat grapes...it's weird! But paired with some spicy foods, it works pretty well! For the price ($8) I would get again but this is no Dom Perignon! haha

Lots of peach and surprisingly a touch sweet. Sweetness is well balanced and in no way cloying on the finish. Reminds me of a Cremont. Phenominal with spicy Thai noodles and some grilled pork.

Consistent with last note, still drinking well. Very good affordable sparkler, with a melon tinge and a touch of sweetness on the palate. Easy to drink.

A nice surprise. The color of cantaloupe melons, and this may have influenced my sense of melon on the palate. Not much nose. I enjoyed this immensely as a wine to sip for an aperitif without food. Didn't need any to make it enjoyable and fun.

One of my wife's favorite sparklings. Sweet, but not too sweet. Tropical fruits of pineapple and lychee ending in a crisp citrus finish. Good all by itself.

This wine is sweet. This is an extra dry, and at about 3% residual sugar, it's bordering on sec. Floral on the nose due to about 5% muscat canelli. Lychee, pineapple, and peach obvious on the nose and palate. We opened three bottles because we had some girls over and they love this sweet stuff. My buddies and I have nicknamed this wine "The Panty Dropper."

I absolutely adore the Domaine Chandon sweet sparkling wines. Light and sweet, without being syrupy, they're the perfect aperitif. The Extra-Dry Riche is the replacement for the Fleur de Vigne, which I don't believe they make anymore. It's slightly less sweet, but just as enjoyable.

Beautiful gold color with fine bubbles. Very distinctive chardonnay grape with hint of pear. Sweeter than I prefer yet still enjoyable.

Amber almost golden, clearly past, but still has nice acidity and fruit. Slightly sweet and drinkable.

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Chateau Lay): Pale color. Notes of citrus, perfumed floral tones, and tart apple. Flavors of apple and citrus with a very subtle mineral tone.

Peaces and apricots on the palate. An extra dosage of sweetness but finishes with a bitterness that wasn't very tasty similar to an unripe grapefruit.
The problem with this wine is that they added muscat grapes to it. Not nasty but it wasn't great. For $9 on discount, it was a fine deal.
I can see how some will enjoy this...nice summer sipper

Peach and melon. The bit of "extra dry" sweetness helps it pair with spicy and/or sweet food. Enjoyable, good QPR.
