Solid nose of lush underbrush, cedar box, slate and thyme, all intermingled with black fruits, cassis and plum. Not overly complex but pleasant. Oak is somewhat prominent.
Palate reads as a medium weighted wine, with fine soft tannin and juicy, moderate acidity which lingers on the finish.
Overall, very pleasant and a good companion with red meats. Not an amazing value compared to some other gems of the left bank, but appropriately priced for what it offers.

Deep ruby color. Plump nose of fresh blackcurrant, graphite, toasted oak and dark chocolate. Dry, rounded acidity, structured tannins, palate follows through. Medium full body, great balance and structure, medium long finish. Not much depth but great QPR and would be expecting too much at this price.

Medium bodied. Aromas of black fruits, herbs, green pepper, leather. The palate feels is fine. Blackberries, espresso, mineral and ripe tannins. Medium to high acidity. it has a great nose and it's very pleasant to drink. Hope to see more improvements in a few years.

I’ve had the opportunity to taste this wine twice in the last few weeks. Each time I have been impressed with it. It’s starts with sweet black fruits pencil shavings plumbs express and sweet honeysuckle. Definitely one of the best vintages of this wine. Surprising.

Espresso, blackberries, smoke, licorice and cocoa open the wine. Here you find a full-bodied wine with polished tannins and layers of round-textured fruits giving way to a supple finish packed with fruit and a touch of oak. The wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. Drink from 2024-2039.

Deep purple red. Initially quite aromatic, this quickly shut down and then took a day or two to really open up again. It is quite glossy, with dark red and purple fruits, graphite, and a touch of glycerine. Feels quite ripe despite only 13.5% abv. There is some cedar like oak character as well, helping provide what seems a decent structure to the palate. This is a pretty decent effort and for c€27 the value proposition is strong... I just can't quite make up my mind if this is a good wine or very good! I don't see any issue aging for at least 3-5yrs and maybe much longer.

Pretty nose. Stylistically not evident that it is a 2019 vintage. More 2019 meets 2016.. Red and darker fruits, some smoke and almost a touch reductive (i.e. SO2 nose). Tighter than previous wines. Rather cool fruit in the mouth, pretty chalky tannins. Decent medium length. Nice fresh feel. Well done. 91-92 points

A merchant who has received from the Magrez Estates a set of 2019 EP wines in a lovely box with 0.375 bottles organized this tasting. Overall the vintage showed very well, reminiscent of 2009 or 2015. TN: Pretty modern nose here with dark fruit and oak, smoke, good mid-palate, tannins will need some time here. A nice Medoc forest touch on the finish.

Pretty deep colour here; a touch high toned, red and dark fruits. Licquorice, ripe. Spice, medicinal; good density, on the fuller side of medium bodied. Nice mouth feel here, very fine tannins. Good structure. Not rustic, quite refined for Haut Medoc. Sophisticated, warrants its Cru Classé status. Pretty classy.

Full-bodied with layers of blackberries, espresso, smoke and tobacco leaf on the nose and palate. The chocolate-covered blackberry and cassis in the endnote keeps on going, which is a good thing. The wine was made from a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 91-93 Pts

UGC 2019 Singapore (Singapore): Round and lighter bodied. The Merlot is showing clearly here. Not particularly deep or long but nicely balanced

Amsterdam UGCB Tasting (Beurs van Berlage): Feels disjointed. There is ripe fruit, but at the same time it is stalky and the tannins are very dry. Charmless.
