A Cabernet lovers Merlot. Ripe and robust. Raspberry, blackberry, cassis, coffee and baking spice on the palate. Medium to full bodied with medium tannins. This is still young so will improve with age

Super ample et corsé. Belle extraction et beau fruit. Des mures et des cerises noires avec un peu de poivre et de cèdre. Les tannins sont charnus et la finale bien longue est persistante. Très bon.

Bright dark berry fruit with baking spice accents and a slightly bitter cocoa notion on the finish. Med+ acidity, Med+ tannins but not terribly drying. Should integrate better with time. Some sediment--should be decanted. Enjoyed at Rutherford Grill w the fam.

Medium plus nose shows herbal tones, orange peel, black cherry, black tea, red bell pepper, red plum. Palate shows both fruit layers and secondary tones to match the nose. Has a woodsy feel, bay leaf, then medium tannins and body frame it well. Nice style for Merlot.

Pretty nose of blueberries and blackberries. fragrant and pure, this just glides across the tongue side to side like if you get my drift. A richly layered midpalate with dense blackberrym cardamom and exotic tea leaf. Velvety, with great balance and verve, this really is a beautiful bottle of Merlot for the money.

Decanted for 2 hours and it was absolutely fantastic. This is very drinkable now or you can lay it down for a few years and see how it does once the tannins soften. Really enjoyed this bottle and their merlot is worth seeking out.

Day one...where was the fruit? Austere and not too interesting. Day two...there's the fruit! Finally found it's legs...much more voluptuous and fruit forward. Needs time, as the tannins are very present, but enjoyable if you give it some air.

Anyone picking up smoke taint? Opened it last night for a “non merlot” fan. He immediately said “wow I really like this wine, it has a Smokey nuance to it”. I thought the wine was just off when I tasted it. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I would say 91+ on this. Some tannins are there, but after 1/2 hour became much smoother. A cab lovers merlot. Black currant and plum flavors with a long finish. I’ll try again in a couple of years - I think this will continue to improve!

If I had this blind I would probably guess Cab Sauv. Full bodied, noticeable oak.

Excellent -- medium texture -- lots of fruit -- strawberries on the initial taste. Low oak.

Young, but bursting with rich dark fruit flavor with trademark long, pleasong finish. Will only get better with time.

Good tannins, dark berry notes. I had it during a tasting at the vineyard...and thought it could do a few years of storage to soften the tannins.
