PnP, this leans into the buttery/oaky approach that many Cali chards have but has enough structure to keep it afloat and not feel overwhelming. Paired with a spicy tofu dish found it much improved, with the oak getting taken apart by the spice in the food, a great pairing.

Lovely nose of fruit with floral and citrus notes. But it disappoints on the palate. My initial impression is too much acidity that conceals the fruit and other nuances. And the finish is a bit too dry and harsh for my taste. At this price ($25 - $30 in my area) there are many others I would reach for first. Most in the sub $25 range, such as J Chardonnay.

$25 California Chardonnay, 2018 Brewer-Clifton Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills. Similar to previous notes. Sharp mid-dark gold; viscous (14.5 alc); citrus, honey, stone fruit, wine lees and wood nose; mid-plus acids; good fruit; long tight citric and wood finish. w/mussels. 16.5 UC Davis scale, 91 other scales.

Nice golden yellow color at the core with silver at the edges. Lemon and vanilla on the nose with hints of toasted oak. Palate - tons of creamy lemon, pear vanilla and spice. Notes of oak in the background. Nice drinkable chard.

Surprising soft silky entry, glycerin and oak. I don't find the fruit nor acid nor balance noted by other tasters. Perhaps, glycerin can come across as honey and butterscotch. One dimensional, you may like or not like the simple atypical profile.

Brother in Town Lot's of Wines!!!; 6/26/2021-7/4/2021: This wine cold is terrible and even at the normal serving temperture recommended for Chardonnay. Once it gets closer to room temperature is when it is really nice. Lemon, pie crust, minerals, honey suckles and dust. Very nice entry level wine for their portfolio. 91 points

The nose wafts a dessert table of caramel apple, lemon meringue, and graham cracker crumble. Medium bodied with slightly crisp acid nestled nicely in the center of a lush palate. Flavors include green and Opal apples, lime sorbet, gravel minerality, and white pepper. It finishes on orange marmalade. A nicely profiled and structured chardonnay, the quality outshines the depth.

Slightly creamy nose with ripe apple, citrus, flower. Similar in the mouth with rounded edges. Good but not incredible

Rich and minerally with good flavor. A little oak on the nose and palette. Not a ton of butter.

Nicely made, albeit a bit more oak than expected. Probably needs a couple of more years of cellaring. On the pricier side at almost 40€.
