Very tight upon open but mellowed out after 30 minutes of air. Fragrant grilled plum and blueberry aromas with a dense core of brown spice and cocoa. Ripe black fruit on the palate which settles in nicely behind cocoa powder and clove. Very enjoyable.

Very young , but delightful along side a steak topped with Gorgonzola and mushrooms Kinda of tannic for sipping when first opened , but I wasn’t able to open early or aerate prior to dinner. Definitely buying more to keep

Just not gettin what the other folks are gettin. This is wound up tight. It never seemed to open up. Very tart. Would have been very good with food with tomato sauce. But it needs several years to relax. Longer would be better. I think l ecole must make their high end reds for aging. Or maybe this is what bordeaux blends are supposed to be. A tad more oak would go a long way to makin this more approachable earlier.

Been drinking vintages of this for many years. Not a one better than the other. A blend that continually is strong, yet smooth. Deep, dark. Well done l'Ecole! Will keep for a minimum of 10 yrs.

Medium red with good polish. Lush, bright red fruit nose. Matching fruit in the mouth with enjoyable chewy tannins.

Terrific blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 14% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc. Drinking well now but will improve.
