Although I rarely drink big California Chardonnay, I make an exception for Kistler, and this vineyard specifically. The wine is huge in all aspects. Complex nose of honey, white flowers, tropical fruits. Long legs revealing 14.7 ABV. Full bodied and voluptuous on the palate, with pineapple, mango, guava. Extremely complex with enough acidity to balance it out. Better with some air. I am for the most part a Chablis drinker, but this wine with homemade crab cakes was a classic match. Quite enjoyable. Solid 94.

Headed toward pre-mox. Second bottle in a week. Something seriously wrong. Purchased from the winery. I had another 2018 (Dutton) just to check and it was fine. if you have this wine I would try a bottle soon.

14.7% abv. Aroma of stone fruit, white flower, honey, herb, nuts, smoke and citrus at first, then buttery scent gently passes by. Acidity, freshness, mineral, creamy and savory texture on palate is very nice already and well balanced. Long finish is a bonus.

Delicious. High toned lemon curd and fresh hay notes. Toasty, with grilled lime and blossom flavors. Herbal and salinity notes. Took a little while to open up, so I would let it breath a little once you pop it. Stone Flat is a solid, reliable Kistler. that never disappoints.

Very nice Chardonnay. Still a little young, with a subdued nose. Not as much body as other Kistlers. Light golden color. Green apple, pear notes. Will wait a couple more years before opening another.

Lemon butter, seaside breezes, flan. Plush mouthfeel with great acid that sneaks in like as in a Trojan Horse. Fantasy at this age with plenty to reveal in time.

Tremendous wine - all of the components of a great Chard. Concentrated mouthfeel with citrusy tropical notes and balanced minerality; medium bodied with medium finish
