  • One of the best of the night (9 Grenache). Low opacity, ruby with a bit of garnet towards the edges. Dust/straw, strawberry above savory herbs candied spices and orange peel. On the palate, it was lifted, dry and silky and round with spiced flavors of bright cherry and strawberry. Complex and well balanced. Delicious!

  • This wine is not ready yet and if broached should be decanted for at least an hour. It did start to open up with some cherry and rose petal. It is full bodied with smooth tannis. Tasted alongside the Comando G La Bruja de Roza 2021 and the Comando G was showing better. I think the Landi may be entering a sleepy phase.

  • S: brickish ruby, gentle pigment
A: raspberry, maraschino cherry, rose petal, iron-rich earth, sassafras, and black tea
P: warm red fruits, spicy licorice root, tea-like tannins
T: snappy + grippy with a warming finish and good-good length. Medium to medium+ body and impressive length. Overall good balance of fruit, spice, acidity, alcohol and tannin

Overall - a young wine that has plenty of complexity and allure. Will benefit from short-term cellaring. Drink in 3-5yrs
Love the delicate approach and likely partial whole-cluster fermentation that keeps this wine high-toned and bright, versus heavy and extracted.

    Needs a Thanksgiving dinner 🙂

  • Bill & Crew - Offline #3 - One Penny Red: Blind. Super perfumed - cherry, graphite and florals. More savoury on the palate, plenty of red and black fruits. Pretty tasty!

  • Bright but full of energy. Pretty much pinot noir on the nose but with a greater tannic structure in the mouth.

  • Very light in red colour. Fine minerality. Crunchy and almost a spritzy freshness. Drinks like a lovely Pinot noir. Definitely a Burgundian delivery here.

  • What a value. This is a strikingly pretty, charming grenache. Purchased recently and PnP, visited over 2 days. This is produced in the same style (and the same facility) as Comando G (wines I have yet to taste)

It's a beautiful transparent light ruby color, with an expressive nose. I get a lot of gamay type funk, that softens with air, to reveal really pure rhubarb and strawberry notes, along with (maybe) a little cola. Blind, I would actually guess 16 beaujolais as it has snappy acidity and a little structure behind fruit that has achieved a balanced ripeness.

Delicious and a stellar value. Re-buy for sure. Perfect to enjoy now
