This is a pleasant wine with good purple fruit and lots of spice. This bottle seems surprisingly one dimensional It was quite good against chili. It has a nice long finish.

Tonight, this stood out from the other wines with its big bold style, bright garnet-red colored, full bodied, nicely balanced and well integrated vibrant forward fruits of raspberry, red cherries and ripe strawberries with fragrant floral and notes of nutmeg and clove spices.
Day 1: Washington Trip Long Shadows Winery (Long Shadows Tasting Room): 58% Sangiovese, 30 Cabernet and 12% Syrah. Just not showing a ton right now. Dry with sawdust, cherry, dried herbs, spice and earth. I would hold this but right now not drinking well. Probably would be better on day 2 or 3. Every now and then I see a wine that is overrated on Cellar Tracker but this goes to a new level. 88-90 points.

Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend. Tuscan wine family Ambrogio and Giovanni Folinari helped winemaker Gilles Nicault craft this delicious wine. Complex. Will age well. Great fruit and flavor.

Decanted >2 hours. A very nice super Tuscan style wine. Paired exceptionally with pasta arrabbiata.

Solid fruit expression yet still showing signs of youthful astringency. Suggest holding a bit.

One-hour decant. Well-balanced. Had with two pasta entrees. Drink or hold.

Took to a Cena in Portland. Paired wonderfully with the Italian meal. An excellent wine though still young.

Beautiful blend with raspberries and cherries giving way to toasty spices and pipe tobacco. Might get better but drinking just fine right now.
