  • 7 hour decant, then put half back in the bottle for the day after. Even better on the second day. Site is famous for its minerality, and that shone through. A serious wine with great, bold tannins - a cab-lover's cab. Want to do a side-by-side with some Las Piedras wines.

  • Give this beauty a minimum 5 hour decant. At 7 hours every sip is getting better and better. Perfect harmony of roasted dark fruits, crushed rocks, minerals, warmed Cedar, sandalwood , smoky cherries and Red Mtn earthiness. Medium to full bodied palate, to me this falls between a Bordeaux and a Napa cab. The nose is still bit austere and Bordeaux like to me. It’s young and will improve. Cheers

  • 2 hour decant. Opaque and inky purple in the glass with piercing aromas of wild blackberry and blueberry, dried violets, graphite, wet gravel and iodine. Extremely dense and intense on the palate with mineral-rich notes of black cherry, blackberry liqueur, espresso roast and a dusting of cocoa powder. Vivid acidity yet impeccably balanced with fine grained tannins that accelerate on the long, powerful finish. An absolute monster of wine. Wow.
