The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper, cinnamon and prune. It tastes like black currant (cassis), cherry and plum. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

The Merlot and Franc add some character to the blend, but the tannins were just a tad bit high for my preference. Would prefer just a tad bit softer or more fruit forward for a blend.

Tasted over 2 days. At first, I was disappointed by the nose and taste of green notes muting any fruit flavors. I wondered how a wine from Napa could be this underripe. Put it away. Next day, oakiness and green notes went away. Nice dark fruits and smooth tannins stepped up. Went well with tonight’s homemade pizza. So, decanting for a bit may payoff.

For $10, this wine over-delivers. Kind of like an all you can eat buffet restaurant that serves quality food. Definitely will go back for seconds...maybe thirds.

Tried this on a whim. Really had no expectations. Consumed over two nights with dinners of chili and pork chops. Worked out well with both. Simple with lots of fruit and flavor. The Cabernet has a bit more presence in the profile than does the Merlot. Excellent QPR.

Notes of black berry, and other dark fruits, tastes of blackberry, plum, currents, toasted oak, subtle note of nutmeg and tyme and leather. Dusty finish with medium tannins that should soften more with age. A little sweeter than I expected. Good now but likely will be better in a few years.

Deep purple with numerous legs forming. Blueberries, black cherry and vanilla aromas. Sweet black cherries indicate some RS in the wine, soft tannin on the mid tongue, mild pepper and leather finish. Was hoping for more complexity and it was sweeter than expected.
Not bad for $10 bucks, but there are way better deals at Costco than this.

Very good for store brand wine, really enjoyed it almost as good or maybe as good as Coppola Claret black label and a few dollars less per bottle. Should definitely get again.

Opaque cherry color, not very discernible nose, good legs in the glass, medium body, dark red fruit on palate and finish and also a little bitterness on the finish

Fine for a table wine, easy to drink. But expectations need to be kept low. Good flavors but lacks character or depth. Unremarkable.

Price is good. Wine is OK for a table wine. Decant for hours seems to help.

Disappointing, too acidic, too tannic, not much here to enjoy. This may improve with cellar time. I won’t buy again.

Too much RS, the sweetness is out of balance and syrupy.
