An excellent bottle. Fully mature with its twilight looming. Still enough bubbles to entice; very nutty along with strong yeast notes, a bit of stone fruit and citrus as well. Not for the Prosecco set.
Much thanks to Joe for sharing.

Opens with a relaxed sigh and still has a gentle prickle of bubbles against the gums. The nose is complex with notes of baked apple, preserved ginger, lime brulee, honey and toast. It is full in the mouth, with honeyed flavours and plenty of nuttiness. The finish is punctuated by an almost oyster-like salinity. An engaging, mature Champagne, that served us well over several courses at fermentAsian.

Oooh this smells gorgeous, marmalade, custard and tarte tatin with just tatin with just a hint of sherry Very gentle bubbles, meaty and yeasty on the palate, some citrus fruit and just a hint of VA, doesn't spoil it though, creamy texture and then a finish of nuts, tobacco and a little mushroom but again in a good way So rich and long, this is mature and delicious Disgorged 03

Actually very lovely and pretty secondary by now and only gently effervescent. Nose is dominated by cider and brioche elements but in a (good) decayed sort of way.

Glengarry Old Wines Dinner (Auckland, New Zealand): After lighter blanc de blancs, this wine came across as BIG! Apricots and meal in an in your face style. The nose is a little evolved and disappointing but the flavours are round and tasty.

Not the best vintage and it's time to drink this. Still the colour was a beautiful dark, almost orange colour. Soft mouse that disappated after an hour or so. Very mature and integrated. Beutifull.

Past peak or poorly stored. Off aromas and funk. Not showing how bollinger of this age and pedigree should. Hope to taste a better bottle someday.

Magnumflaska. Väldigt mogen doft. Smak av marsipan, mandariner, rökig, aning platt eftersmak. Känns som om den är på väg ner.

Fantastic! Crisp flavorful full bodied Champagne with great complexity. Wish I had more. Definitely what a true "Champagne" should aspire to become.
