Open for five hours before tasting. A bit restrained at first and somewhat austere it blossomed as time went by showing intensity, class and character. A really good made brunello.

Clear medium to dark red; light nose with some intensity, dark berries; nice elegant attack, also in the middle, long nice aftertaste; really likeable with nice soft and sweet tannins

Needs a bit more time as of course this is a brunello. Initial taste left me underwhelmed. After 45 minutes, we see a brunello appear stage left. Tar, rose petals, cherry and cranberry. This is still tightly wound with mouth puckering acidity and grippy tannin. More fruit forward on the palate and finishes well. This will need a few more years at least.

I tasted this wine in October 2020, so shortly after release, and it easily dominated an impressive field of 2015 Brunellos. Tonight, it was more muted and clearly asleep. The fact that we tasted it PnP certainly didn’t help. All of that aside, you could still sense the brimming potential. I’m glad I had an opportunity to check in on this wine, but will hold off on opening any of mine for a few more years.

Cherry, rose petal, chocolate. Extremely well balanced. Big tannins, even after sitting overnight in a decanter. Good now, but it’s prime is yet to come, maybe 10 years from now.

Delicious right now with lots of presence in the mid palate and moderate depth. This wine is pretty and accessible with maybe another point of upside in a couple of years

The Fuligni is gorgeous with an early drinking window open.
I pulled the cork midday and tasted periodically prior to dinner. Initially not much on the nose and fairly tannic. By the time dinner hit, the Fuligni was showing nice fruit and the tannins were silky. Still early on this one, but a beautiful wine.

PnP over 4 hours. Similar to other notes, this did not begin to open until hour 3. Aromas of plums, cranberry, and forest floor. On the palate, there were red fruits and cherries, and the tannins were nice and refined with a smooth level of acidity. Medium-length finish. This is a nice Brunello that I don't think will get much better with age.
Double decantered for around 3-6 hours. Starting to give some cherry notes on the nose. To drink, the tannins are more noticeable than the fruit. More cherry and very faint Tuscan dust and balsamic (very faint). Nice drink. Best years are ahead. If drinking now, an extended decant is advised. 93-95pts

Underwhelming aroma but gorgeous color upon pnp. Edgy and tannic, still needs more time. Decanted for two hours and did some extra swirls in the glass over dinner to aerate. By mid-dinner was drinking quite well including a nice bouquet emerging. This is going to be great and I've scored it as such. If considering drinking now and not decanting, wouldn't recommend.

Beautiful wine, but not a 100 pointer imo. Nicely balanced despite 14.5%. Tannins are big, but not unpleasant. Oak is nicely balanced. Fruit is there, but not in loads.

Earthy tones with some dry dusty cherry, floral notes, and faint cedar and chocolate. Polished body with firm tannins and nice acidity with cool medium length finish. While clearly below the heights of the 2016, a fine drink but could use 3 - 5 years to come into its own.

A while on and still drinking well. A subtler first taste than when it was just released, less of Brunello burst, but more earthy finish - hints of pepper, dry cherries. Medium linger. Still feels like it could age another 1-2 years. Marked down a bit as I expected a bit more vs my 2020 taste

I bought this based on the 2015 vintage and the 100 pt score from Suckling. Well I think the WS 93 pt score is more in line. Tapped 1/2 the bottle from Coravin into a decanter. Also did the same with a 2011 Uccelliera Brunello. The Fuligni was not very interesting and one-dimensional compared with the Uccelliera, which kept getting better and better as the night wore on. Maybe a few more years in the cellar will add some complexity.

Garnet color with slow legs. Great nose of cedar, earth, red cassis and baking spices. Plum, mixed berry, tobacco and toast on the palate. Long leathery finish. Really special wine with long life ahead.

PnP, Black cherry red to amber at the edge in color. Light earthy and red fruit nose. Nice mid-weight, fairly complex palate featuring red fruit, tar, tobacco, black licorice, eucalyptus, with a bit of a drying finish. Nice energy and decently integrated, could probably use more time. I don't see how this is a 99-100 type bottle, but it's a nice bottle on the young side.

PnP initially which immediately being welcomed by a bouquet of perfume, even though it is clear that tannins are still very harsh. Decanted 1.5hr however, the wines softened tremendously, though in glass, its nose and complexity dissipated very quickly. Seems a mistake to decant BdM.
Second day, poured out the remaining wine in the bottle un-decanted, the wine came to live, exceedingly expectation. Finishing however is not as long as I expected. Medium body with good elegance.

Needs a lot of air in this young state. Nose of cherries, leather, dried flowers, stony minerality, savoury herbs. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of anise. Medium(+) acidity, drying tannins, and a long, complex finish. Full bodied and very dry. This is way too young. I want to revisit this in 5-10 years - I think it will be awesome.

Nothing much going on on the nose. Nice and round on the palate, but fairly standard stuff. Blind I would have guessed an average rosso. I didn't detect anything indicating that it was flawed but also didn't put in a rating since I am really puzzled by my experience compared to all the very high ratings the wine has received in here. Were I to give a rating it would end up around 88 points.

PnP; mulled spices, dried orange rind and over-ripe bing cherries on the nose; mid-weight; uplifting palate mirrors the nose followed by a light confectionery finish. Hard to believe such a young BdM was open for business - but it was.

Wonderful! Purple brown hue, minimal aroma. Strong first Brunello burst, rich spicy red fruits, cherries, currants. Earthy oaky finish long linger with barny spicy linger that goes on. Incredible for. 5yr wine - shows that 2015 is indeed special.

Bright cherry, loads of soil notes, leather, Tuscan dust, and a bit of citrus on the nose. Traditional, med/med+ palate with gushing, fresh acidity. The final is medium just now - this will begin to blossom in another 3-4 years, and live for 15-20. Red fruited, very fine tannins, avg+ complexity already. highly recommended

Very very beautiful wine even at 8 yrs of bottling age.
It will definitely get better with another 5 yrs of cellaring.
The pallette is just wonderful and the only BdM that surpassed this in my recent memory is Il Marroneto Madonna del Grazie 2016.
Will look to stock up more of the Fuligni BdM.
