A relatively light-bodied alpine nebbiolo with nice cherry and floral aromatics, red fruit, good acidity, and not too much tannin. An enjoyable weekday wine.

Ripe red cherry, ripe strawberry, dried red cherry, potpourri, red prune, charred wood, cedar, and balsamic vinegar. Overall a darker riper more fruit-forward wine. Medium-plus acid. Medium-plus tannins with a fine-grained soft texture. Medium-plus body. Fantastic value.

2019 Niebbiolo Blend: Le Piane Maggiorina: Vino da Tavola, Piedmont, Italy: 40% Nebbiolo, 40% Croatina, 5% Vespolina and 9 other local varieties. “Maggiorina” vineyards include 25 different small fields. These fields are planted mixing 12 different varieties of grapes mostly Nebbiolo and Croatina, but even some white and aromatic grapes, so a proper field blend. Restaurant pop and pour to a garnet ruby colored wine, initial aromas of muted cherries, raspberries and forest floor. Really some nice secondary hints right away on this one. On the palate pretty light in style, tannins are soft and initial fruits follow through from the nose. Good acidity makes this a wine ideal for food. Finish is pretty compact, but nicely refreshing.

Had by the glass at How to Cook a Wolf. Really nice food wine. Light (went well with salmon) but still very subsrantive. Great balance between savory, fruit, and acid. Significant tannins which fit in well with the rest. A great value at $20/bottle which seems to be the typical retail price point.

Consistent with prior; just fine as a PnP. "Good+. PnP; worked quite well. Garnet>Ruby color, with aromas tending toward forest, then cherry and a touch of raspberry; nice soil/place notes in the background. Femininely styled, light>medium body, with soft tannins, supple red fruits, avg finish and complexity; a good bistro wine. Just very easy drinking and not for those looking for gobs of fruit. A gentle wine with an easy appeal. Modest sediment. 13,0% abv. Drink now and the next few years." recommended

PNP/ cork perfect. color dark garnet. nose shows spicy dark fruit. swishing shows both tannin and acid, but tannin is dominant altho it is very fine grained and not rough. sipping shows its fruit density and this balances the structure. it is a little stemmy on the finish. really great value.

showing spicier and more herbal than the last time, a little pepper and cedar on the nose, so much exuberant bright fruit, flowers of course... elegant and punchy at once, firmly dry and a little on the tangy side, but the finish has a lot say... flowers, honey, citrus and berries, anise, sweet almonds, exotic spice...

Pure brilliance, this is is excellent, and unbelievable for the money. It starts out bright and focused on red fruits, but it develops an endlessly engaging darkness to contrast... one might call it an elegant display of chiaroscuro. Aromas of strawberry, blood orange, dark cherry, cacao, sweet almond paste, herbs both fresh and roasted, anise and wild flowers. Bright and vivacious on the palate, with supple silky tannins and zippy acids. Finishes on exuberant tart berries and diverse savory, herbal and floral nuances. This stuff rules.

Wonderful and light, the Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina, and Bonarda cuvée really works. Red fruit nose. Energic and uplifting, perfect to the Ossobuco. An everyday wine, do not bother laying it down.

Young and vibrant, red berries and gravel (?) on the nose. On the palate I find red berries and some acid, very well balanced by soft tannins. Very easy to drink and went really well with pizza. For this price, I think it is a bargain.

Red, medium intensity. Developed nose, medium intensity. Delicate blend of flowers, nectar, sweet spicies, red sweetsour berries, honey delivered beautifully layer-upon-layer. Wow! On palate dry, fresh acidity, low level of very, very finely grained tannins. Sweetsour red berries, white peppar. Slim body. Butterfly like, light and vibrating wine happiness.
Field blend of more than ten different varieties, grown in Boca's volcanic soil, harvested and fermented together. Maggiorina is also the name of the local, very special system of training the vines. Three vines planted together and trained upward to form a square gobelet.

Good spice up front after a few days open, little additional to add to prior notes except I'll be adding a couple.

Kirsebær, mandler, god tanninstruktur (lang, fast), saftig/bløt. God matvin, og ganske decent value for money.
