Big Cab Open (Eagle Brook CC): The cork was popped a couple of hours before service. Inky crimson color. Cassis, currant, dusty earth and dried herb aromas. Full-bodied with medium tannins and flavors of cassis and black fruit. There's a nice herbaceous quality here that I like. Fine tannins; balanced. This paired beautifully with the venison. (Z&C)
