  • young but beautiful, not quite as giving (with the fruit) as I remember my last bottle, but this is a winner, now and longer term... lift, and elegance to come

  • Pungent dark berry, some oak, a bit of lifted floral nuance but mostly packed berry fruit. Jadot like on the palate with lifted dark berry, lots of stuffing in a dark austere style, grounded with hints of earth. This has a sweetness of fruit and openness (in the context of Jadot) from other recent vintages at the same time. With a few hours some very pretty spice shows up. There is a lot to unpack and it's competing with it's structure to come out. Definite promise.

  • Blind. Minerals, stunning fruit, structured, impressive and promising, yet already complex. Rating for now.

  • I wasn't very enthralled by this right when I opened it; it had some pleasant notes of cherries on the nose and palate, but also a very stern, almost bitter tannic structure that wasn't too appealing. Turns out a few hours of air make a big difference here. The nose is much more perfumed and expressive, and shows some Gevrey iron as well. The palate has also fleshed out; there's more to it than some primary fruit and acid. Nonetheless, this still comes across as very structural and large-scaled right now, though the air helped to smooth out the initial rough edges. Good potential, but not quite as convincing (especially given the step up in price and dirt) versus a 2019 Ursules a few months ago.

  • this was taken on a trip a couple weeks back and now just getting to the removal from inventory... but I do remember thinking that this test bottle (the rest of my 6 pack is in offsite storage) was absolutely awesome... nice body but not 'bold' or 'rustic' or 'a brute'... this was lithe and acidic but with great fruit and what fills like a nice life ahead (20-30 years??)... lovely, now time to buy more

  • Couldn’t resist cracking open one after tasting a Jadot La Dominode ‘19 and finding it to be extremely good.

Nose is earth and flowers. Iron and tiny bit of beef blood. Cherries and raspberries. Delicate yet punchy. Evolves in the glass over the course of an hour.

Palate is sleek. Tannins are SO fine; I’m a little surprised how gorgeously integrated they are already. Wonderful red fruit with drive and energy.

This is really, really good. I plan to open an ESJ soon to see where that is at but suffice to say that I’m excited about where it might be at off the back of this tasting. 95 pt potential. This is one of the best ‘values’ in the Jadot lineup.

  • Gorgeous aromas of cherry, fresh flowers and earth. It is so silky in the mouth and luscious, but everything is in check. It is engaging, complex and layered with a gentle flex of muscle on the finish and so much energy. Quite brilliant.
