Beautiful color and great mouthfeel. The overall sensation was of being closed super tight, wrapped up and bound in acidity and some tannin. We didn't get a chance to let it breathe much. Seems it needs air, and likely extra time.

Decanted for an hour. Very young at the moment, inky dark fruit on the nose. The palate shows strong tannins, sharp fruit, needs time to calm down. Shouldn’t have opened this, but the wife wanted to taste a young Rioja, so here we are. Wait 10 years with the next one…

Le vin a déjà vieillie et ce malgré le 1.5 litre qui est normalement plus lent. Superbe senteur avec une complexité en bouche. Pour le prix, c'est un wow.

No formal tasting note but I was overall quite disappointed with this rather expensive bottle. Rather muted nose and a very watery finish. Very different experience from last time I had this this.

Still one of my favorites. Double decanted it, needed more time in the glass though. Reached its peak around 2h after decanting. Went perfectly well with filet steak.

A wine that has received rave reviews. I thought it appeared young and would recommend waiting for 5-20 with this one. The nose has mint, sweet and tart fruit, and wet wood. Taste of vanilla and Norwegian red apples. The wine is also dense and spicy and has a finish with tobacco, licorice, and leather. Long and dry structure. The wine does well with a few hours of air, and half an hour in the refrigerator before serving. For the price, and in the same segment, I would rather have bought two bottles of Faustino I, 2010!

Deep black cherry color. Tobacco ash and pepper nose. Earth leather sun dried tomato and acid notes. Prune and cherry on the back palate. 15+ seconds finish

Flot og fint udviklet Rioja. Super lækker næse med mørke kirsebær, solbær, brombær, lakrids, cacaopulver, finsk lakrids og sød tahitivanilie. Slurp! I munden er vinen flot udviklet. Blød og rund, nærmest velouragtig, og kommer rigtig fint rundt i munden. God syre og veldresseret tanniner. Lidt vandig i eftersmagen, men mon ikke årgangen spiller ind her. Samlet set et rigtig flot glas Rioja, som på ingen måde skuffer, men som omvendt heller ikke imponerer mig stort.

Wonderful aromas of dark red fruits, spices, pine needles, slight coconut that indicates american oak, but it is not overdone even though that can often be the case with young GR.
It really takes about an hour in the decanter to build up body. medium+ body, well balanced wine with good acidity. While this will probably have a long life, I think I'll be drinking these now with how well this is showing

Wine tasting with wine and co with CVNE wine maker over zoom and wine tasting in the class. Decanted for an afternoon. Medium purple Color. I smell vanilla first, some red dried fruits, Mediterranean herbs, cloves, and subtle smokiness. Med acidity, full body, high alcohol, Med+ flavor intensity, Med+ tannins and Med+ finish. Good balance of acidity, structure and fruits. Quite dry tannins and luckily subtle vanilla notes (the wine maker clarified he uses mainly French oak and a limited percentage of American oak, more towards the 10-15%). Still quite young and did have 6-7 hours of decanting so definitely has a Long life ahead!

During a testing session at a WSET school. Deep garnet, complex and dark pitched nose with licorice, dark cherry, vanilla and some sous bois. I would have guessed CDP. Rich and ripe but the balance works due to the freshness and well judged dry extract.

Dark blueish red color, good mouthfeel though not fully developed; looks like this one will go on for quite a few more years.
Not so sure about QPR
