Part of a walk around tasting at Alpine Country Club. When compared with the Alluvial, this was a shade darker, a shade richer, a little bigger. In a ripe vintage like 2018, I preferred the Alluvial by a whisker. In a cooler year I might like this more. Both wines are very nicely made, not excessive although quite big. Score: 93. Relative to expectations: ++
