initially, rather closed bouquet, fruity but straight fwd and one dimensional.
day two update: nose is more developed, still fruit with currant and blackberry, but there's more weight, earth and wet leaves, mint. the palate is fruity, a slight sweetness initially followed by some herbal and mineral flavours and a mild bitter but pleasantly green note. the mineral aspect holds on the finish.

A Chilean Bordeaux blend, 67% Cab, 12% Malbec, 8% Carmenere, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Cab Franc.
Bordeaux roots but the Chilean DNA on the nose with medium plus aromas of chili, bell pepper, lots of perfume, raspberry, and cassis. A complex nose for sure.
Deep ruby colour with medium flavours of red plum, blackberry, bell pepper, tobacco, blackcurrant, and minerals. Medium dry chalk tannins that settle after two hours. The best South American wine I've had and I'm glad I have another to see the evolution of it.

A blend of 67% CS, 12% Malbec, 8% Carmenere, 7% PV and 6% CF, aged for 22 months in FR oak barrels, 72% new. Deep ruby red colour. Medium intensity aroma of leather, medicinal, herbal, cassis, meaty, hints vanilla. Full body, slightly sweetish and savoury at the entry, medium density structure mingles with juicy and leathery black fruit flavours along herbal touches, concludes with sandy tannins and lengthy finish.

Unlike most new world wines, this is an old world style wine with elegance and complexity. I would like to give it 93 pts. But I have to take a point off due to acidity after a few hours. Long finish. Nice wine!

93-94(+?)pts. Tasted to finish my birthday's weeklong commemoration. Very, very young - this still needs a long time in a cold cellar. But already balanced and expansive in the mouth, with beautiful oak management. Of course primary, but the quality of the fruit is superb - it is neither overdone nor overripe. Notes of plum, black cherries, blackberries, and a touch of cassis. Could use a little more body, though. But very nice.

67% Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Carmenere, Malbec, Cab Franc. Very black fruited aromas. Suave and easy drinking, medium minus tannin. 18m, no new oak the presenter says, but website says 72% new french. ??
