Rousseau dinner at Jade Palace: Slightly candied fruit but the spice and coffee notes helped to rein the wine in. Better than '19 Clos du Château that we had at our table but still a step below the '18 Clos du Château. In general I felt that the straight village was made in a more serious manner than the Clos du Château.

I like this a tad better than the 2018. It has a lovely perfume, with tart cherry and raspberry, some spice and restrained oak, and a long finish. It is less deep and dark than the 2018, and was drinking lovely after a 1 hour decant.

Another infantizide, yet we enjoyed. Clean, tight, intense, with plenty og Pinot-joy and local spice. Really hit's the mark, Rousseau speaks. #MaCuisine

There's some sarsaparilla root and freshly grated ginger, along with a core of intense cherry fruit. It is fleshy and delineated, with a silky texture and a touch of Gevrey sauvage. It drinks so well as a youngster and is highly-perfumed and engaging.

Medium+ red. Open 24 hours: Floral, red-fruited perfume. This comes alive in the mouth with floral, cream and red berry fruit. More than medium body with a concentration of spicy fruit that coats the tannin until well after the wine has been swallowed. The finish is probably 2 minutes long! Last nite the bottle showed a little roasted coffee reduction in the bouquet, but none of that tonite! this is exceptional. served blind I guessed Vosne Romanee.

More or less the same as last time, only stupid me did not recognize it. Paired brilliantly with some game!
