  • This wine is really such a good fit for my personal taste. Incredibly concentrated and dark, very stemmy, dark strawberry and warm earth and spice, good earth but ripe in a dark, brooding way. Muscular and powerful and very complex. Such fun and great PQR. Love Arlot.

Per burghound's note perhaps earlier than later for this wine, over the next 5 years.

  • Very vibrant robe. Nose bouquet is incredibly vibrant too, the likes of which I don’t think I’ve seen before. On the palate there are flavors of blueberry, cacao/dark chocolate, pomegranate, and slightly underripe strawberry/raspberry, with some noticeable wood influence creating nice structure and a bit of dry tannin into the finish. This will be great with time but this is also worth opening and enjoying now for the bouquet alone!

  • L'Arlot 2019 tasting. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of burnt rubber tyre reduction that blows off, then floral violets, dark red sices, dark red cherries, red berry compote, dark herbal tea. Developing.
On the palate, dry, hgh acidity, medium alcohol, structured medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of black cherries, dark red cherries, ripe strawberries, sweet earth, sweet herbal black tea, sense of inner meatiness. Long finish with some stony minerality. Sense of good structure holding.
Very good quality. Lovely NSG. Will only get better with more development.

  • During a merchant tasting. Expressive and complex nose of dark and red fruit, some cured meat, musk, a whiff of herbs and earthy elements as well. Generous palate like we know it from the 15/19 vintages, sappy tannins providing structure, oak needs a bit more time to integrate. Again, a top wine here, top QPR.
