Pretty powerful conpared to burns barolo had the same night. Rich cherry good structure. Would have liked it better if Brian had not been in nyc with graham 😎

Honestly, this didn’t strike us as being as good as other bottles from the same vineyard, vintage, or producer. I felt a little underwhelmed by this one, though BF is basically our favorite producer. A little subdued on the nose and the palate. Obviously high quality but I wonder if it’s just at an awkward phase.

Oregon state wine tasting, wine #7. The name “Beaux Freres” from French translates to “brother in law” as it is a co venture of M. Etzel and his sisters husband, well known wine critic Robert Parker Jr. Medium light ruby. Medium intensity aroma of red flowers, cherries, cranberries, toasted oak, earthy and smoky hints. Medium light body, gorgeous palate, so smooth, fine and elegant, fresh but already approachable medium plus acidity harmonized by silky tannins, long toasted oak and tobacco finish.

Gorgeous wine. Supple, cherry fruit, long finish. One of the best OR Pinots we’ve had.

Opened at a special dinner.. beautiful mouthfeel and layers of complexity: Berry, earthy with a long finish.
A delight after an hour of opening.

Same as previous notes, bumped back to the 95 level. Seems a little more complex.

Very well made and balanced with fresh fruit, fine tannins, smooth mouthfeel and moderately long finish. Very pleasing.

So classy, smooth, full of the best flavors of Willamette balanced and refined. No down side. This is a very good wine.

Pretty young and tight. A bit bitter and green. Hints of purple friut, stewed plums and gravel but definitely needs some time to come together.
